Working with an architect process
What's the process?
How we work with you at Ashworth Architects
Making changes to your home or property is exciting...
But it can feel a bit daunting too! Where do you start? What will your architect do? How is it going to look? What can you expect from the process?
All important questions. So, this page talks you through how to work with us - and what the process looks like.

Most projects start here ...
2
Your proposal
After a good chat, we'll understand what you need - and what services are right for your project. So, we'll send you a proposal - with our fees all set out, so you can understand how an architect will fit into your budget.
3
The go ahead
You've agreed your proposal - and you've appointed us as your architect. Exciting! Now, it's time for a 2nd meeting - where we nail your brief down and explain what's
next.
4
The survey
Before we do the 'fun' drawings, we need to survey (and measure) your property as it is. We'll come in and get this important task done (don't worry, you don't need to be there - you can leave us to it).
5
Your options
The bit you've been waiting for! We send you your drawings - which will show you the exciting potential you can achieve.

It takes about 2 weeks to get your drawings together. We'll always confirm timescales when you first appoint us.
6
Design workshop
This is where we sit down again and discuss what you think of your drawings - and your next possible stages. You'll have time to ask questions and go through the proposal in more detail.
Then what?
We're here to support you - as much as you need.
From planning permission consulting (i.e. getting you through the planning permission process) to full project management (i.e. letting us handle everything for you), we can support you however you need.
Cup of tea?
And a free consultation, on-site, to discuss your project. No obligation, completely free - and designed to give you an insight into how things can work for you.
